  We stopped in here after looking at the church across the road, looking for more information about gaining entry to the church. The publican was extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful, even making phone calls to try and help us out. We weren't planning to stay for any length of time, but ended up staying for a few drinks as it was such a welcoming atmosphere and nice place to sit.

  Unfortunately not a good experience on our last visit although we have been to the Church on many occasions. I was very disappointed with the Feta Cheese Bake the potion was ridiculously small by comparison to the other dishes, the barman appeared not to know anything about the beer selection and really didn't appear to be interested in us as customers. The time between courses was exceptionally long. This is such a great shame possibly just a bad night! On the other hand we ate at the Bull's Head, just down the road, and had a fabulous evening last week. The service was excellent and we were kept informed all the time whilst we were waiting for a table. Happy to discuss.

  Best sunday roast we have found so far just perfect. Very interesting menu. Great place lovely atmosphere but have to book early to get in. Top marks for the food. Very busy on sundays so service can be hit and miss. Love this place so much.
